Thanksgiving Day. It was yesterday in the United States. Its history is not something I choose to pursue because love does not echo from the core of the story. Instead, let love and gratitude for the possibility of peace take over. Begin today.
Recipes for peace are not easy. This recipe is. If you know someone who doesn’t have access to an oven or the following simple ingredients, perhaps that family would appreciate your gift of something warm and baked.
Mama’s Easy No Yeast Dinner Rolls:
1 Cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp of salt
1/2 Cup milk
2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
Combine all ingredients and spoon into a greased muffin pan. It makes approximately (5) rolls. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and a fork inserted into the center of any muffin comes out clean.
(In the picture I used whole wheat flour blended with steel oats and quinoa. Hey, experiment. Why not?)

If I didn’t care about America I wouldn’t mention it’s problems. Something like refusing to go to the doctor when serious symptoms appear. I am glad you mentioned your concern because you gave me a chance to mention an important reference, “Lies my Teacher Taught Me” by James W. Loewen. Christopher Columbus, for example, was no saint. We need to face our past to make it better. There are many incredible Americans who work toward peace, not by fighting for it, but by giving whatever they can to avoid it. I don’t expect to change your mind. America doesn’t need to be the greatest to be great. It simply needs to have people priorities. Peace!

What are your comments about the following?… The communist plan is to take over the whole world. Russia became communist and purged 10 million of their own people, removing, torturing and killing them. They even killed people because they wore glasses and looked intellectual. Communist China did the same thing. They killed tens of millions of their own people. Don’t you think communism will come here, and realistically they could do the same kind of purging in America? Therefore America has to be the strongest, or America and other countries will fall. Don’t you think you’re aiding the communist cause by taking such a negative and divisive view of America?

I see no point in argument. Who is the strongest isn’t the issue I choose to purse. Communist China has purged many innocent people. I agree. Taking sides however, isn’t the answer. Have a blessed day.
